Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior or Senior Associate to support the growing demand for ESG and GHG accounting services. This role involves assisting clients in performing calculations for greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and supporting their sustainability reporting efforts. You will work on a variety of projects that provide exposure to ESG metrics and reporting frameworks, including greenhouse gas inventories, environmental data analysis, and client advisory.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Calculations:
    • Assist in developing GHG inventories (Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3) for clients in compliance with the GHG Protocol.
    • Support clients in calculating carbon footprints, analyzing emissions sources, and developing data models to track emissions performance.
  • Sustainability Reporting Support:
    • Collaborate with teams to provide input and analysis for sustainability metrics under frameworks like CBAM, SBTi, GRI, SASB, TCFD, and CDP.
    • Interpret environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data for integration into client reports.
  • Client Advisory:
    • Provide analytical support for creating inventory management plans for GHG emissions and other sustainability metrics.
    • Assist clients in setting sustainability goals, targets, and KPIs, providing actionable insights from data analysis.
  • Technical Analysis and Data Management:
    • Perform detailed quantitative analysis on environmental and sustainability data.
    • Manage and organize client data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality for internal and external reporting purposes.
  • Training and Development:
    • Participate in training sessions to build expertise in ESG assurance methodologies and sustainability practices.
    • Stay updated on emerging ESG regulations, standards, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Data Science, Sustainability, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Junior Role: 1-3 years of experience in GHG accounting, sustainability reporting, or data analysis.
    • Senior Role: 3-5 years of experience with advanced understanding of GHG protocols and ESG metrics.
  • Skills:
    • Strong proficiency in quantitative data analysis, especially using Microsoft Excel.
    • Familiarity with GHG Protocol and reporting frameworks like GRI, SASB, TCFD, or CDP.
    • Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
    • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience with carbon accounting tools or software.
    • Knowledge of ISO 14064 standards.
